Ella Beaver Obituary
Ella Faye Emily Beaver of Murphy, North Carolina, age 93, went home to be with her Lord at her home on February 3, 2025. She was born on March 3, 1931 to the late Lewis Napoleon Chastain and Ira Samantha Stalcup Chastain in Cherokee, County, North Carolina. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth Oran Beaver; daughter, Shirley Ann Allen; sister Frankie Lee Burnett and great great grand daughter; Vivian Bea Truett.
Ella Faye truly loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She served her Lord and others as a member of the Old Fashioned Baptist Church in Murphy, North Carolina. The other loves in her life were her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was devoted to her family. She truly enjoyed the pleasure brought to her by the beautiful flowers she lovingly planted and tended. As an avid reader, she was always gaining new insights and knowledge on many subjects. As a homemaker, she always desired to make her home a welcoming site to all, where comfort and visiting would take place. One thing for sure, when the grandchildren visited, whatever they desired she was going to give.
She is survived by her children; Barbara Wilcox of Cleveland, TN., Nancy (Robert) Truett of Murphy, N.C., and Carol June (Kenneth) Setser of Murphy, N.C.; grandchildren, Nathan (Bernadette) Wilcox, Danny (Christy) Truett, Autumn (Ronald) Harris, Tami (Jamie) Cook, Robin (Da) Thistle, Rocksand (Tim) Brown, Samantha (Felix) Passmore, Lindsey (William) Pertet, Cindy (Cody) Webb and Julie Beth Truett; 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren with one on the way.
Funeral services are scheduled to be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, N.C. at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Hoyt Brown and Pastor Jimmy Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Fashioned Baptist Church Cemetery in Murphy, N.C.
The following great grandsons will be serving as pallbearers: Cody Truett, Jonah Truett, Kenny Thistle, Brady Harris, Daegan Harris, and Tyler Harris.
The family will be receiving friends for a time of visitation at the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home in Murphy, N.C. on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 12 noon until the 2:00 P.M. funeral service hour.
