Ella Faye Brown

Ella Faye Brown, age 84 of Town of Polar, passed December 25, 2025 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital.

Ella was born on January 14, 1941, in Bryant to the late Nathan and Grace (DeBord) Arrowood.

Ella was a graduate of Antigo High School.

On July 1, 1961, she was united in marriage to Roger Brown in White Lake.

Ella was employed at AO Smith in Milwaukee, worked at Yawkee Bissell in White Lake, operated the American Legion in White Lake along with Roger from 1968-1972, and later retired from Aspirus Langlade Hospital after a 25-year career as a respiratory therapist.

Ella enjoyed playing cards, trips with her friends and visiting the casinos. She dearly loved her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, survivors include her two daughters: Rhonda (Matthew) Sterman of Hartford and Lisa Brown of Wausau, four grandchildren: Jarrod Brown, Deanna Sterman (Joe), Jacob Sterman (Amber), Adam Sterman, six great grandchildren: Aidan, Ella, Jacob, Jaxon, Aubrey, Amelia, two sisters-in-law Sue and Rita Arrowood, two brothers-in-law Gerald “Buck” (Emilee) Brown of White Lake and Larry (Sandy) Brown of Polar.

In addition to her parents, Ella was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law Beulah and Arnold Brown, sisters: Dorothy Hutchison, Shirley (Dennis) Schneck, Gary (Lois) Arrowood, her brothers: Floyd and Harvey Arrowood and brothers-in-law Joe and Bob Brown.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 5, at 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Polar with visitation from 10:00 AM until the service at the church.

Reverend Donald Engebretson will officiate.

Strasser-Roller Funeral Home is assisting the family.
