Ella Grace Pytel

Ella Grace Pytel, age 94, of San Antonio, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 19, 2026. She was born on July 23, 1931, in Gonzales, Texas. Ella Grace was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James J. Pytel, Jr., and her parents, Alton and Grace Graves.

For 32 years, she was a devoted member of Highland Terrace United Methodist Church, faithfully serving her church community until its closing.

Ella Grace is lovingly survived by her nieces Birdie Archer and Elizabeth Jacobs and husband, Richard; great-nephews Jeff Meade and his son, Max, and Richard Jacobs and wife, Leigh Ann, and their daughter, Bella Grace; great-niece Michelle Oldham and husband, Dean, and their sons, Bobby and Richard. She is also survived by numerous cousins and a dear family friend, Kenda Montez.

Her family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of WestMark Senior Living and Magnolia Hospice for the compassion, care, and comfort they provided to Ella Grace.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at San Fernando Cemetery II.
