Ellen Marie Bertsch

TOGETHER AGAIN Ellen M. Bertsch, of Hartville, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025 with her daughter Kelly by her side. She was born in Canton, Ohio on October 17, 1944.

She loved her animals; her dogs, as well as her Heflinger Horses, she had a knack for crafts, dabbled in photography and love to bird watch (as does Kelly), loved to garden, she trained dogs and made amazing friendships along the way and was also a breeder of Airedales. Her and her beloved husband, John, belonged to a Corvair club where they had many "friends" who are still a part of her life. Ellen and John would also restore Corvair and then show them. When they were both younger they would ride their motorcycle across the country. One of Ellen's favorite pastimes was getting on her tractor to maintain the expansive yard around her Hartville .

She is preceded in death by her husband, John, whom she missed every day for ten years; her daughter, Diane Page, who passed away in May and left her too soon; her mother, Olive Lyons; her step-father, William Lyons; her father, Carl Hoffman; and brother, Homer (Sonny) Hoffman who she cherished.

Ellen is survived by her daughter, Kelly, who was her everything; her son-in-law Bob, who she absolutely adored; three amazing grandchildren Aaron, Jacob and Nicholas; along with her stepdaughter, Beth and her husband Bryan and their beautiful large family; finally her beloved faithful companion, Airedale Dubs.
