Ellen W. Bryant, age 82, of North Adams, Michigan and formerly of Rome, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 19, 1943, in Adairsville, Georgia, to Paul and Sara Idelle (Johnson) Warren.

For over 26 years, Ellen faithfully served others through her work in the cafeteria at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia. She spent her free time at home watching The Food Network, working on crossword puzzles, bird watching, and listening to music, especially The Eagles. A true southern matriarch, Ellen was lovingly referred to as Mama or Mawmaw by all who entered her home and received the gift of her pintos and cornbread. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include three children, Susan Bryant of Rome, Georgia, Richard (Meaghan) Bryant of North Adams, and Steven Bryant of Rome, Georgia; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Kerry) Mann, Sarah Davis, Jessa Davis, Micah Bryant, Noah Bryant, and Tiffani (Daniel) Spengler; and six great-grandchildren, Breanna, Blake, Hayden, Koen, Chloe, and Celeste.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Bernice and Bettie Ruth Warren; and two brothers, Paul "Edward" and Leonard Warren.

A celebration of life for Ellen Bryant will be held at a later time in Georgia. Arrangements are entrusted to the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
