Ronald Lenvil Butcher, age 77, of Osseo, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025, under the loving care of his daughters and Hospice of Hillsdale County. He was born on January 6, 1948, in Detroit to Lenvil and Margaret (Kanski) Butcher.

Butch grew up in Detroit and attended trade school to receive his certification from Amoco Oil and Gas in marketing and merchandising. His love for cars led him to lifelong career in the auto body repair business, working with Royal Collison in Detroit, Angola Ford in Indiana, and owning and operating his own shop, Butch's Auto Body and Paint in Osseo. As a car enthusiast, Butch was always tinkering on a car or attending a car show with his friends. He was a member of the NRA, and a talented guitarist who played lead guitar in a band for many years. Butch also had a great appreciation for music, Johhny Cash, Buddy Holly and Motown being some of his favorites. In his spare time, he liked to fish, hunt, and do woodworking. He was a master on the grill as well.

Survivors include two daughters, Rondee Butcher of Hillsdale, and Darlene "Cookie" Butcher of Hillsdale; five grandchildren, Tyler McKinney, Cotey Lewis, Jonas Carpenter, Wyatt Carpenter, and Ryley Tesch; two great-grandsons, Zakary and Colton Lewis; one sister, Patricia Gore of Detroit and his former spouse, Darlene "Dee" Patrona of Hillsdale.

Preceded in death by his parents, Lenvil and Margaret Butcher.

A memorial service for Ronald "Butch" Butcher will be held Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with Pastor Dave Turner officiating. A memorial dinner will follow at the Hillsdale Free Methodist Church. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday from 2:00 PM until the time of service.
