PAWTUCKET - Ellen I. (Wray) Pacelt, 102, of Pawtucket, died Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late William Pacelt.

Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late

Christopher and Maud (Taylor) Wray, she was a lifelong resident of Darlington, and wintered for over forty years in Bonita Springs, Florida.

Ellen was a graduate of Pawtucket East High School, and worked for the City of Pawtucket Board of Canvassers for eighteen years before retiring.

A ninety year parishioner of Park Place Congregational Church, Pawtucket, she served on the Flower and "Christmas on the Hill" committees, and was a member of the Joanna Circle and Friday Nighters. She also served as President of the PTA for J.C. Potter Elementary School.

With her late husband, she was a voracious traveler and member of the National Travelers & Campers Association. She also enjoyed knitting and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by three daughters, Charlene Dundie, and her late husband Philip, of Pleasantville, NY; Daryl Prendergast, and her late husband Thomas, of Alfred, ME; and Lynn Usher, and her husband Aaron, of Pawtucket; five grandchildren, Taylor, Skyler, Kaitlyn, Cali and Alexandra; and five great- grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Henry Wray and Isabella Carter.

Her funeral service will be held at a later date. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
