Ellen Schauer Obituary
Ellen Rhein Schauer, age 86, of Cincinnati, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Born on September 10, 1938, she was the cherished daughter of Henry and Cecilia Rhein (nee Gebing).
Ellen is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Henry and Cecilia Rhein. She is survived by her loving family, including her daughters Julia Kay and Ellen M. Schauer, her sons Richard Veeneman, Jeffrey Veeneman, and Brian Veeneman, as well as her brother Richard J. Rhein and sister Mary Ann Heckman. Ellen will be fondly remembered by her extended family and friends who gathered in her life.
A passionate artist, Ellen found joy in painting and expressing creativity through her artwork. She cherished the time spent with her family, enjoying evenings filled with Scrabble and card games, as well as indulging in mystery novels that captivated her imagination.
A funeral ceremony in Ellen's honor will be held at 12:30 PM on Monday, February 17, 2025, with visitation beginning at 11:30 AM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side Chapel, located at 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Memorial Park, 11825 Pippin Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231.
