Ellen Shaffer

Of Braddock Hills, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021.

Beloved wife of Kenneth R. Shaffer, Sr., who together celebrated 60 years of marriage in October.

Loving mother of Kenneth R. (Danielle) Shaffer, Jr. of VA and Keith (Lisa) Shaffer of Canonsburg.

Cherished grandmother of Madeline Shaffer, Kelsey Shaffer, Ryan Shaffer, and Ian Shaffer.

Dear sister of the late Robert L. (surviving spouse, Joan) McNulty, Jr.

Aunt of Kathleen M. McNulty, Robert J. McNulty, Susan Lee Scullion, and Robert Blair Coughanour.

Ellen was a 1951 graduate of Westinghouse High School in the city of Pittsburgh. She then went on to work for Rockwell as an office clerk for 10 years, before leaving to raise and care for her family. Ellen enjoyed going to the theatre, birdwatching, traveling, and camping in Ligonier's Kensey Park. Most of all, Ellen treasured the time spent with her family, especially her adored grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish. The mass will be streamed live on our funeral home website by clicking on Ellen's obituary and scrolling toward the bottom of the page.
