Ellison Lupe entered into rest February 15, 2024, in Hondah, Arizona.
Ellison was born June 12, 1987, to his parents Arlene (Coochyumptewa) Lomayaktewa and Gerald Lupe.
Ellison loved to be outdoors. His hobbies including fishing, wood cutting, off road driving, outdoor cookouts, working on vehicles, and spending time with those he loved. He was always making those around him laugh. He had the most giving heart and was always going out of his way to help whoever needed it. But above all else he loved being a father and husband. He enjoyed teaching his son to work on cars and how to fish and going on random car rides with his daughter.
He will be missed the most by his children.
Ellison is survived by his spouse, Tameshia Hawthorne; Son, Kayomie Hawthorne; Daughter, kaleah Hawthorne; Father, Gerald Lupe; Sisters, Elouise Coochyumptewa, Gerrica Kochamp, and Anissia Lupe; half-sisters, Jerilyn Lupe, and Sharilyn Lupe; God-Brother, Javien Rogers; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends throughout the Hopi, White Mountain Apache, and Pima Reservations.
Ellison is preceded by his Mother, Arlene Lomayaktewa; and his Grandmother, Edith Coochyumptewa.
Ellison was buried the traditional Hopi way at his home village of Mishongnovi in Second Mesa, Arizona on Monday February 19, 2025.
