Elmer "Euse" Smith, age 82, of Northport, Ala., passed away October 22, 2025 at his residence. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2025, at Phillips Chapel FWB Cemetery with Chaplain Tim Holder officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mark A. Smith; parents, L. V. and Beulah Smith; sister, Marie Hallman; several nephews, and a niece.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda L. Smith "June"; daughter, Gina Smith Treadway (Randy); son, Steven Elmer Smith (Melony); sister, Betty Jean Hannah (Walter "Suds"); brothers, L. B. Smith (Jeanette), and James A. Smith "Pig" (Judy); grandchildren, Leighann Driver (Gunter), Chris Driver, Tori Flippo (Sam), Alex Treadway, and Josh Golson (Angela); and great-grandchildren, Lainey Golson, and Saylor Flippo.
He loved fast Chevelle cars, 4-wheel drive trucks, restoring old cars, and crappie fishing with his buddy, Ralph Poole. He loved to barbecue for his family. He loved his dog, Willie.
He was known in the CB radio world as Lawman. Over & out.
