Elmina Sephine Shrew, 80, of Keaau, HI, died at the Hawaii Benioff Medical Center on Thursday, February 12, 2026. She was born in Micronesia and was a retired telephone operator. She was also a member of the Hilo First United Protestant Church. Friends may call at the Hilo First United Protestant Church on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, where a Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Alae Cemetery. The family requests casual attire. She is survived by Her: Daughters, Tulpe (Danny) Dizon of Keaau, HI, Primrose Tulensru of Kosrae, Micronesia, Serah (Swin) Charley of Kosrae, Micronesia and Lenory (Joab) Welly of Oahu; Son, Sabel Shrew of Keaau, HI; Brothers, Paul Timothy of Kosrae, Micronesia, Filmore (Kesia) Timothy of Seattle, WA and Myrel (Anguri) Timothy of Texas; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
