Elo Nohavitza Obituary
March 5, 1930 - July 19, 2022
North Richland Hills, Texas - Elo Emil Nohavitza, 92, resident of North Richland Hills and retired Assistant Superintendent in charge of Finance for HEB ISD, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022 in Bedford.
The service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Hurst. Reverend Jason Meyer will officiate. Visitation for family and friends will be from 6 â€" 8 p.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
Elo was born March 5, 1930 in Taiton, Texas the son of Elsie Lutringer and Edward Frank Nohavitza. He graduated 1948 from El Campo High School in El Campo, Texas. Elo received his Bachelor degree from Texas A&M and earned his Masters from East Texas State University. He married Anna Grace Green in 1954 at North Baptist Church in Greenville, Texas. Elo served two years in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed spending time with his Church Community and watching sports.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 68 years, Anna Grace; son, Raun and his wife Michelle of San Jose, California; two grandchildren, Isobel and Ivan; sister Patricia Wobbe of El Campo, Texas; and niece, Mallory.

Coach Nohavitza was a true gentleman. Kind, but tough when he needed to be. I had him for PE and driver's education at Arlington High School in the 1957-1961 time frame.

I just learned of Coach´s passing. He was one of the finest men I have known in my life. I feel blessed to have been coached and mentored by him. I still have and occasionally reread his "commandments " for football. Ms N, I send you my best. Bobby K.

Please accept my sincere condolences on Coach Nohavitza's passing. However, he is in Heaven and had a full and rich life leaving a legacy of wonderful memories. I knew him at Arlington High School in the 1957-1961 period where he taught me to drive and also PE. He was a true gentleman.

Elo never missed an opportunity to sell tickets at the Administrative bldg. for Burgers for Books. He was such a kind man and always took time to say hello and ask how you were doing. Prayers for the family. RIP Elo
