ROY-Elois Lorraine Kelley "Cookie", 88. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021. She was born May 7, 1933, in Lemoore, California to Archie Stamey and Elvira Lorraine Santos Blackburn.
Elois grew up in California and attended an all-girls Catholic school. She met and married Arnold C. Hainline, together they had 4 children. They were married 12 years. Later, Elois married Clarence Leon Kelley on June 14, 1967. They were blessed to have 3 children together. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on February 2, 1972.
Elois is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many church callings including a mission with her husband at the Ogden Cannery. Elois enjoyed bowling, sewing, crocheting and was a talented painter. She graduated from a nursing program and became an L.P.N. Her main goal in life was to "be a good wife and mother and a super grandma".
Elois is survived by her sons, Bill (Nancy) Kelley, Allan Kelley, Barry Kelley, Lionel (Tamara) Kelley, Clarence (VaDawn) Kelley, David (Patty) Hainline; daughters, Cora (Bill) Bosley, Shirley Tarbet, Leslie (Danny) Harger, Lanell (Shane) Kay; daughter-in-law Marilyn Kelley; son-in-law Jeff Imes; and two sisters "Artie" and "Boots"; 27 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren
Elois was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence, daughters Verlyn Imes, and Loriann Thompson; sons Steven Hainline, and Keith Kelley; son-in-law Bourke Tarbet III and grandchildren Amber Hainline, Bourke Tarbet IV, Cindy Reinhart, and Jeromy Thompson. Although we will miss her, we know that there is a wonderful reunion in heaven.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary - Roy, 5865 South 1900 West Roy, Utah. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022, at 11:00 at the Myer Mortuary – Roy with a viewing prior to the services from 9:45 a.m.- 10:45 a.m.
