Eloise Moss Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Unity Mortuary of Anderson on Oct. 28, 2025.
Eloise Pickens Moss, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, at Baptist Easley Hospital. She was born on February 22, 1941, in Anderson, South Carolina, to the late Milledge and Lillie Mae Pickens.
Eloise was a woman of strength and unwavering faith. A person unafraid of hard work to support her family, she was employed at La France Mill for nearly 38 years, where her work ethic earned the respect of all who knew her. Quick to smile and laugh, Eloise brought warmth and light to those around her. Yet, she was also a no-nonsense and decisive woman who faced life's challenges with determination. She guided her family with kindness, strength, and firm conviction.
Eloise found joy in tending to her flowers and plants, filling her home with the warmth of family photos, and spending precious time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, sisters, and nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own children.
A devoted member of Zion Apostolic Pentecostal Holiness Church in Anderson, Eloise used her greatest God-given talent, her beautiful and strong singing voice, to uplift others. Many will remember her powerful presence during worship services, while her family will forever cherish the sound of her voice filling her home with songs of joy and devotion.
Eloise is survived by her sons, Howard Pickens (Ethel) and Bryant Moss (Karen); five grandchildren, Danielle Falls (Seth), Naomi Pickens, Kerrington Moss, Miles Moss, and Grant Moss; and four great-grandchildren, Adrian, Shai, Nico, and Dominic Falls. She is also survived by her siblings, Betty Pickens, Lillian Airline, Billy Charles Wardlaw and Clyde Wardlaw, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Milledge and Lillie Mae Pickens, and brother Matthew Pickens.
Eloise's legacy of love, faith, and family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
