Elsa Castillo Obituary
Elsa was born November 1, 1926, in Encrucijada, Cuba to Victor and Primitiva (Gomez) Touza. She was married to Guido B. Castillo.
A lifelong educator, Elsa devoted her career to nurturing the minds of young children as a 3rd and 4th grade teacher. Her passion for knowledge was only matched by her love for music. As a music teacher, Elsa shared her talent and passion for the piano. She enjoyed the compositions of Mozart, Beethoven, and Eduardo Lecuona.
Elsa's love for the arts extended beyond music. She enjoyed ballets, reading american novels, and learning about history on PBS. Elsa also found peace and joy at the beach.
Above all, Elsa's world truly revolved around her family. She is survived by her loving son, Guido V. Castillo (Cindy); and her adored grandchildren, Thomas V. Castillo (Jessica), and William A. Castillo. Elsa was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother, Carlos Touza; and one sister, Yolanda Touza. Elsa will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire and guide all those who knew and loved her.
Cremation is under the direction of O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home. There will be no formal services at this time.
