Elsa Moles, the special little two-year-old girl of Hope Moles of Muncie, Indiana, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
Hope shared that Elsa was born in June of 2023 and was a resident at Rescue Me RCHS in Farmland, Indiana. Rescue Me RCHS is an all-volunteer animal rescue, specializing in the care and adoption of cats and the occasional dog. Hope dedicated her time working with the animals, and that is where she met Elsa, and that is where Elsa captured her heart.
Hope described Elsa's personality as "very unique and selective about her people, but when she picked her person, she loved hard; she was very playful and loved cuddling with the other cats in the rescue."
What Hope loved about Elsa the most was "how clingy she was; she was always following me around and wanting attention."
Elsa did not like getting a bath at all but loved being brushed, and she wasn't the biggest fan of the cat carrier, but she loved going to Hope's house "to get extra lovins!"
Hope's favorite memory of Elsa was "her jumping up on my shoulder all the time while I was cleaning around the rescue," and Hope also felt it was what Elsa valued the most in her life: "getting to ride around on my shoulders; it was her favorite thing."
Hope's nickname for Elsa was "my girl."
Elsa loved any soft blanket to cuddle up in, and as far as her favorite snacks or treats, Hope shared she "went crazy for wet food with gravy."
Hope was Elsa's person, and she wasn't going to have it any other way. According to Hope, "Elsa bonded with me when she was a kitten. We tried getting her adopted multiple times, but she was deemed unadoptable after multiple unsuccessful trips to the store, so she stayed as one of our residents at the rescue, and I fostered her at my house when I could. I was planning on adopting her as soon as I got a new house (my current place has a limit), but unfortunately she passed before I could.
She was always so happy to see me; she'd just sit on my shoulder or chest and go anywhere with me when I was there." Hope continued, "She hated pretty much everyone but me and the people close to me, even the rescue owner who tried for years to get her to be more social, and for how small she was, she was feisty!"
Hope is absolutely heartbroken by the loss of her sweet Elsa. She will never forget Elsa's spirit and the special bond they shared.
