Elsa Lucia Tarin, 44, of Midland, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. Elsa was born on April 22, 1981, in Fort Stockton, Texas, to Juan Madrid Tarin Sr. and Lucilla Carrasco Tarin.
Elsa was known for her smile and a beautiful laugh that came from her heart and was sure to cause others around her to join in. Elsa was also known for her hugs and for the love that she had for her family and lifelong friends. Elsa valued spending time with her family and friends. She could spend hours reminiscing on stories from the past. Elsa had a great love for live music. She also found great joy in travelling and was blessed to visit many new places throughout her life.
Elsa is preceded in death by her father, Juan Madrid Tarin Sr.; her mother Lucilla Carrasco Tarin; and her brother Orlando Tarin.
Elsa is survived by her brothers, Felipe Tarin and his wife Kristin, Juan Tarin Jr. and his wife Julie; nephews and niece Bailey Tarin, Lynzi Tarin, Maddox Jones, and Nathan Tarin; multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will take place on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm at Harkey Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 10:00 am at Harkey Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Bailey Tarin, Ryan Carrasco-Lopez, Fernando Carrasco, Joseph Gonzales, A B Carrasco & Carlos Avila.
The family of Elsa wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses and doctors at Midland Memorial ICU, Medical Center CCU, and the Hospice of Odessa. The family would also like to thank Joann Villesca for her kindness and loving care of Elsa during the past few weeks.
