LUNENBURG: Elsa (Tocterman) Watson, 92, of Lunenburg died Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at University of Massachusetts – Memorial Hospital, Worcester.

Her husband of 52 years, Herman S. Watson, died in May 2012.

Elsa was born in Heilbronn, Germany, September 25, 1933 one of eight children born to Augen and Elsa (Wass) Tocterman and was educated in Germany. She moved to Lunenburg 62 years ago.

For over twenty-five years Elsa worked independently as a home health aide in the area. She was a member of the Eastwood Club in Fitchburg and had been active in the activities at the Lunenburg and Townsend Senior Centers.

She leaves her son and daughter in law, Rev. Jeffrey H. and Dina Watson of Sterling, MA and two grandsons, Jeffrey and Michael and Her sister Karin Tocterman in Germany.

A prayer service celebrating Elsa's life will be held 11 AM Saturday, December 27, 2025 at the Anderson Funeral Home, 250 Main Street (Rte 119) Townsend Center.

Elsa's family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation period December 27th from 10 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers please make donations out to the Lunenburg Police and Fire Departments.
