Elsie Rose Burton was born in Soda Springs, Idaho on March 28, 1944 and passed in Grand Junction, Colorado on September 4, 2024.
She is pre-deceased by her husband Mickey Burton ,her parents George and Lucile Hemmert, her sister Lena, her brothers Lawrence and Earl.
She is survived by her brothers George Lee, Russel, Max and Roy, her three children Debbie, Mike (Sue), and Tammy (Jimmy). She had eight grandchildren Jenny, Ryan, Jeremy, Megan, Sami, Toren, Bailey, and Tyler. She had 11 great-grandchildren Edward, Koby, Mat, Trinadi, Chris, Kaiyon, Paxton, Abbi, Jeremy Jr, Kamari, and Aspen.
She was raised in Montpelier, Idaho until she married her husband in 1964 and traveled the world with him while he served in the US Air Force. They retired and settled in Layton Utah.
She worked in the day care industry for many years and then finally in the Library all with the Department of Air Force where she received several awards and accolades. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and loved her family.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Family and friends may visit Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton.
