She was born in North Dakota in 1923 and was an avid traveler. Elsie was a member of Project Linus - Bibb County Georgia Chapter where she made and donated nearly four-thousand blankets to children in need.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Dixon; three brothers; and six sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn (Lamar) Skates and Susan Dixon; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, February 12, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Rev. Rodney Blalock and Eric Skates officiating.
Interment will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens 7070 Houston Road, Macon, GA 31216.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Project Linus 5300 Zebulon Road, Apt. 1133, Macon, GA 31210.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
