James Wallin Obituary

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Eddie retired from Chattem Drugs in St. Elmo as a maintenance worker and was of the Baptist faith. He attended Fairview South Baptist Church.
Eddie was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Jo Carnes Wallin; parents, C.H. and Georgie Fitzpatrick Wallin; brother, William Buster Wallin; sister, Levonne Varner; and son-in-law, Brad Torbett.
He is survived by his daughter, Tanya Wallin Torbett; grandchildren, Lauren (Brock) Britton, Megan (Jake Melton) Torbett, and Jenna Torbett; great grandson, Baylor Britton; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, September 11, at Fairview South Cemetery with Pastor Randy Avans and Pastor Mike Peterson officiating.
Pallbearers are his nephews, Terrell Scoggins, Tim Gilbreath, Gage Smith, Marshall Scoggins, Jeremy Foster, and Jake Melton.
The family extends a special thanks to Oakview Health and Rehab and Affinis Hospice for the care given to Eddie and his family.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.

I remember Eddie from Chattem he was a great man and was always smiling. May God bless and prayers for the family.
