Elsie Marie Harrell

Elsie Marie Gann Harrell, age 93, of Strawberry Plains, Knoxville, and Kingsport, TN. Elsie passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center with her daughter by her side. She was a member of Strawberry Plains United Methodist Church. Elsie was a great asset and blessing to her community and will be greatly missed. She retired from the K-Mart Corporation after many years of service. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Harrell; parents, Clyde and Dollie Gann; sisters, Shirley Anderson and Linda Petty, and brother, Wayne Gann. She is survived by her daughter, Rose Marie Harrell; sister, Thelma Hathcock; special sisters-in-law, Scottie and Janie Harrell, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 1st, from noon until 1:00 PM at Strawberry Plains Church, 3173 W Old Andrew Johnson Hwy., Strawberry Plains, TN 37871, with the funeral being held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Tom Ballard and Rev. Stacey Morgan officiating and music by Rev. Ronnie White. Following the funeral, the burial will be held at Strawberry Plains Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
