Elva Cooper Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pope Funeral Home - Winnsboro on Feb. 19, 2024.
Elva Wilson Cooper, 95, of Winnsboro passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Blythewood Ward. Born in Ridgeway, she was the daughter of the late William Franklin and Clara Peake Wilson.
Elva was married to her late husband Herbert B. Cooper Sr. for 40+ years. She worked the line at the Mill in Winnsboro for 30 years where she retired. She was a hardworking, caring and giving woman who enjoyed time spent with her family and helping others in need. Not only was she sweet, but she was sassy. Every now and then you could catch her with a fly swatter in her hand for those who needed it. Elva enjoyed the outdoors, colorful flowers, and she could have eaten cake and ice cream for every meal. If you ask anyone who knew her, she made the best sweet potato pie in the South. Elva was a loving wife, mother, Memaw, Granny, sister, aunt and friend. She is loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her brother, Archie Wilson; Grandchildren, Will Muller (Whitney Fleming), Cooper Muller (Lacie Sanders), Melanie Sharpe (Jennings), Jacob Cooper (Zaria), and Gabbie Cooper. Great grandchildren, Keegan Payne, Wilder Muller, Levi Sharpe and Myles Sharpe; niece, Geloris Baxley; as well as many great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Herbert B. Cooper Sr; Elva is predeceased by her daughter, Vanessa Muller; son, Gerald Cooper; brothers, Woodrow Wilson, Talmadge Wilson, WF Wilson, Wayne Wilson, Sidney Wilson; sisters, Lois Osieck, Audrey Moore, June Shirley, Patsy Tate and granddaughter, Whitney Muller.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Royal Pines Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at 2:00 pm at Pope Funeral Home.
Pallbearers – Jennings Sharpe, Joel Watts, William Ladd, Cameron Cooper, Jamie Branham and Kirk Culbreth.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Elva's memory to Fairfield County Council on Aging located at 210 E Washington St, Winnsboro, SC 29180
