Elva Marie Kimble, age 97 of La Rue, OH passed away August 29, 2025, at her daughter's home in Marion. She was born May 18, 1928, to the late Arthur Brooks Wagner and Phyllis Mildred (Kurtz) Kramer in Hancock County, OH. Elva was married to the late Leo Charles Kimble.
Elva is survived by children: Joyce Lavern Smith, Linda Sue Smith, and Teresa (David) Kimble. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter Nancy Lee Kessler, and siblings: Thelma Sink, Jean Starr, Mary Katherine Reddick, and Arthur Wagner.
Elva graduated from high school then worked as an Executive Secretary for GTE. She loved music; listening and writing it. The instruments included keyboard, organ, and guitar. Elva was artistic as well, and sold pieces on fineartsofamerica.com.
In her younger years, Elva played tennis and basketball. She always had a pool and loved to host Holiday gatherings.
A service is scheduled on Saturday September 13, 2025, at Timothy Lutheran Church, 3004 Marion-Mt. Gilead Rd. Marion, OH 43302, at 1:30 pm. Pastor Pam Lamb-Hart officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association, as well as Plant-a-tree in Elva's honor through the Arbor Day Foundation. Moments of remembrance may be left online at www.affordablecremationservicesofohio.com.
