Elva Sauceda Longoria, 78, was called home to be with our Lord on Saturday July 6, 2024.
Born on November 14, 1945, in San Antonio, Tx, Elva was the beloved child of Florencio and Lily Sauceda. She grew up in San Antonio, where she graduated from John F. Kennedy High School and later graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University.
Elva married Raymundo in 1975, and they shared 42 wonderful years together. She worked as a First grade Teacher at Ruiz Elementary for 30+ years.
Elva is reunited in heaven with her parents Florencio and Lily Sauceda, Husband Raymundo Longoria, brother Florencio Sauceda Jr, brother Esteban Sauceda, sister Julia Morquecho and grandson Raymond Bishop Longoria.
Elva was a devoted mother, step-mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her son Raymond Longoria Jr. (Naomi), daughter Cindy Flores (Robert), step daughter Lisa Garcia (Ricky), step son Larry Longoria (Jeanette), sister Olga De La Rosa, brother Gilbert Sauceda, 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren as well as numerous loving relatives and friends.
Thank you to Raymond and Naomi Longoria for their loving care for our mother and to Sacred Mission Hospice for their support and attentiveness to make our mother comfortable. We sincerely thank you.
Elva's kindness, generosity, and love will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive guests at Castillo Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm for visitation and at 6:00 pm for a rosary service.
A service to celebrate Elva's life will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 10:00 am in St. Dominic Catholic Church. Burial will follow with a graveside service at San Fernando Cemetery II.
