Elvene Ratkowski

Elvene Ratkowski, 89, of Troy, MO, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. She was born on February 25, 1935, in St. Louis, MO, the child of John and Emma (Thoene) Van Stratten. After attending the local grammar school she went on to graduate from Beaumont High School. She then met the love of her life, Eugene Ratkowski, and the rest is history. Elvene will be remembered lovingly by all those who knew her. She donated her body to science at St. Louis University St. Louis. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, 10/19/24 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 100 Thompson Dr. Troy, MO 63379. A luncheon will follow in the school cafeteria. Donations may be made in her name to a charity of your choice
She is survived by her beloved husband, of 69 years, Eugene Ratkowski of Troy, her children: Steve (Evelyn) Ratkowski of O'Fallon, MO, Mike (Carol) Ratkowski of Moscow Mills, and Sharon (John) Meyer of Troy, along with 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends.
