Elvia Barker Obituary
Elvia Ybanez Barker, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 4, 2024, in Hemet, California, at the age of 75.
She was preceded in death by her parents Raul and Eluteria Ybanez. Her brothers; Hector Ybanez, David Ybanez, and granddaughter Angela Barker.
Born in Three Rivers, Texas, Elvia moved to Hemet as a child and established her roots in the community. She spent 40 dedicated years working in the medical field.
Elvia is survived by:
- Her loving husband of 58 years, Carl Barker
- Three children: Carl Jr. Barker, Cindy Barker, and Barbara Rodriguez
- 12 grandchildren: William Rodriguez,
Nicole Barker, Alyssa Olivas, Ashley Gonzalez, Daniel Olivas, Trisha Villegas, Jesse Estrada, Junior Rodriguez, April Hernandez, Jacob Rodriguez, John Estrada, and Savanna Rodriguez.
- 16 great-grandchildren
- Eight siblings: Irene Smestad, Amelia Avena, Linda Ybanez, Roy Ybanez, Raul Ybanez, Rene Ybanez, Heriberto Ybanez, and Dora Miranda
- Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends
Elvia's passions included shopping, dancing, singing, traveling, and cherishing time with her family.
