Emerson "EG" Stallard, Jr., 88, of Louisville, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025.
EG was a cherished husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose love and warmth enriched the lives of everyone he met. He proudly served in the United States Army for two years and dedicated 44 years of his life as a service technician at Sears, where he was known for his hard work and reliability.
In his free moments, EG found joy in nature, reveling in outdoor activities like hunting and fishing. His storytelling and sense of humor were legendary among family and friends, bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. A lover of travel, he relished adventures by the ocean and had a special place in his heart for Chevys and the University of Kentucky, often wearing his blue and white proudly.
Born on September 16, 1937, in Whitesburg, Kentucky, EG was the son of Emerson and Lola (Day) Stallard. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Lola Day, and father, Emerson G. Stallard, Sr.
EG is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Carol Stallard, and his loving daughter, Vicki Durham. He will be deeply missed, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and endless love in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy).
