In Loving Memory of Emil Koro
November 18, 1937 - October 14, 2025
Emil Koro, aged 87, of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025.
Born in Jerusalem to Sami and Fahima Koro, Emil attended Bishop's School in Amman, Jordan, and graduated high school in 1956. Throughout his distinguished career, he was dedicated to education, service, and fostering international relations. As the National Director of AMIDEAST Jordan from 1967 to 1979, Emil supported many Jordanian students in pursuing higher education opportunities at American universities. He was entrusted with the responsibilities of the Royal Jordanian Palace Scholarship Program. He then worked as a Financial Analyst at the American Embassy in Amman from 1980 to 2000, earning recognition and several awards for his integrity and professionalism-including the Special Achievement Award, Sustained Superior Performance Award, and Meritorious Honor Award.
He married his beloved wife, Aniseh, in 1966; together, they shared nearly sixty years filled with love, faith, and companionship. They moved to the United States in 2006 to be with their daughters.
Emil is remembered as a caring husband and father, known for his wisdom, generosity, and strong character. His leadership and selflessness made a lasting impression on those around him. With an engaging personality and a love for good food, travel, and nature, Emil enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Aniseh Koro; daughters Carol Koro, Lara Koro, and Marlen Wensel; sons-in-law Nick Procyk and Robert Wensel; and five grandchildren-Nathalie, Angelina, Luke, Klayton, and Detrich.
A memorial service and burial will take place on Friday, October 17th at 11:00 a.m. at Brownback's United Church of Christ, 640 Ridge Road, Spring City, Pennsylvania. Family and friends are welcome. Greetings begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by lunch after the service.
Emil's enduring legacy of faith, service, and love remains within all who knew him.
