Emilia was born in Brownsville, Texas on March 11, 1962 to Richard Moore and Viola Camacho. She was a resident of Sinton, Texas for most of her life and formerly resided in Port Isabel, Texas. Emilia was a homemaker. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Pete Cantu; father: Richard Moore; brother: Ignacio Camacho Vasquez III.
Emilia is survived by her sons: PJ Cantu (Stephanie), Jeremy E. Cantu (Crysta) and Joseph Maldonado, Jr. all from Sinton, Texas; daughters: Laura E. Cantu, Emily A. Salinas and April S. Cantu all from Sinton, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; mother: Viola Vasquez from Port Isabel, Texas; sisters: Rosario Salazar (Apolinar "Polo" ) from Port Isabel, Texas, Josie Vasquez Mott from Houston, Texas, Dora Livanec from Houston, Texas, Tina Balboa (Joe) from Brownsville, Texas and Lupita Almazan (Mario) from Bayview, Texas.
The family will receive guests Friday, April 7, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The Funeral Talk will be held the same afternoon, 2:00 PM at the funeral home and will be available via Zoom.
