Emilio Ortiz of Lubbock passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014 at the age of 55. He was born August 7, 1958 in Mathis, Texas to Alberto and Maria (Hernandez) Ortis. Emilio was married to Margaret Mungia. He worked in construction and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Maria; wife, Margaret; sons, Augustine and Ruben Mungia both of Lubbock and Joe Ortiz of Colorado; daughters, April Sanchez and Veronica Castro both of Lubbock; two brothers, Joe and Benny Ortiz both of Lubbock; two sisters, Connie Ramirez and Margaret Castro both of Lubbock; 11 grandchildren.
Emilio was preceded in death by his father, Alberto; nephew, Carlos Castro; sister-in-law, Christina Ortiz.
