Canfield – Emilio Steven Sebastiani, 53, of Canfield, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday evening, February 7, 2026, following a brief illness.
Emilio will always be remembered for his warm smile, generous spirit, and remarkable ability to make a friend of everyone he met. His kindness and genuine nature left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Born on November 11, 1972, in Youngstown, Emilio was the son of Daniel Sr. and Beatrice (Acierno) Sebastiani and remained a lifelong resident of the area he loved. He was a proud 1991 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, where he lettered in both soccer and tennis. Emilio continued his education at Youngstown State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in finance.
Following graduation, Emilio chose to work alongside his father at Sebastiani Trucking Company and within a few years he was joined by his brother Daniel and sister Angelica. Through dedication and strong leadership, he rose to the position of President, a role he proudly held while continuing the family legacy.
Emilio embraced life with enthusiasm and passion. He enjoyed fine dining, collecting sports memorabilia, and was an avid supporter of the Youngstown State Penguins and The Ohio State Buckeyes. His love of sports was only matched by his love of community. Emilio was an active member of the Canfield Rotary Club, Tippecanoe Country Club, and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica. At the Basilica, he was involved in the Vestibule Club, served on the Festival Committee, and enjoyed playing in the church bocce league. He also previously served as a Board Member for WRTA.
Above all, Emilio was devoted to his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of over 15 years, the former Jeanne Sattler, whom he married on June 5, 2010; his loving mother, Beatrice Sebastiani; his brother, Daniel Jr. (Rachel) Sebastiani; his sister, Angelica (Eric) Folsom; his nephew, Nicolas Folsom; and his nieces, Angelina Folsom and Gemma Sebastiani. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and countless dear friends.
Emilio was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Sebastiani Sr., and his father- and mother-in-law, Lee and Eleanor Sattler.
