Emily Metcalf Obituary

Emily was a retired factory worker. She worked in numerous factories, the latest being Johnson Controls. She was a loving person, who would give you her last dollar if you needed it and was of the Pentecostal faith. In her early years she was always ready for an adventure and always full of fun and energy.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, David (Rebecca) Grooms, Mark (Tina) Grooms, two granddaughters, Laura Grooms and Chelsea Grooms, one grandson, Tyler Grooms, three great-granddaughters, two brothers, Earl (Brenda) Day, Johnny (Patsy) Day, one sister, Rosie (Mark) Pratt
several nephews, nieces and many cousins. She will be missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Thomas Day, mother, Emily Paul Moore Day Kelley, two husbands, David Grooms and Robert Metcalf, two brothers, Devan Day, Ricky Day, one sister-in-law, Glenda Day.
Memorial Visitation will be Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 11 AM until 1PM at Oakdale Dale Funeral Home Decatur Co. Service will be at 1:00 PM with Bro. Earl Wayne Day officiating.
