I am very saddened to hear about Emily. I was her English teacher at Mid-Peninsula High School, and although we are not supposed to admit to having favorites, Emily was one of mine. I loved her "take" on life. She was insightful, funny, and a student I looked forward to seeing everyday in my class, because I knew that she would spark the best discussions. I am very sorry for your loss, and I'm sure she will be missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to be in her life. Laurie Miller
