Emily Powers, age 58, of Randleman passed away May 31, 2024 at Moses Cone Hospital. She was born August 28, 1965 in Shelby County, Ohio the daughter of the late Verlin Powers and Bobbie Jones Powers. She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose unwavering love for her family was evident in every moment she spent with them. She enjoyed the sounds of classic country music, and she often found joy in the timeless melodies of Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn and various other artists. Her gentle spirit extended to her beloved pets, particularly her three adored dogs, who brought her immense joy and companionship. Her love for animals reflected the depth of her empathy and her nurturing nature. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Bobby Cooke and wife Terri, Jimmy Cooke, and Billy Cooke; grandchildren, Austin, Kenzie, Addy, Colton, Weston, and Dayshaun; numerous brothers and sisters, beloved family and friends. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
