Emily Alison Tyrey, a radiant spirit touched the lives of many, was born on March 6, 1987, in Town and Country, Missouri. She passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, in House Springs, Missouri, with her beloved sisters by her side, alongside her cherished little puppy, Sprout.
Emily was much more than a sister; she was the life of any gathering, a sparkling presence that illuminated every room she entered. Her sisters, Rachel, Hannah, and Sophie, hold dear the memories of a childhood filled with laughter at the local pool and special "sister" vacations that strengthened their bond. Thanksgiving was a time when Emily truly shone, bringing warmth and joy to their family celebrations, where her essence filled every heart with love.
Her vibrant personality was a blend of sass and sweetness, and she embraced life with an enthusiasm that was unmatched. Emily's love for dance and song was evident in everything she did; her greatest aspiration remained to be the next American Idol. With every note she sang, she infused her passion for music into the hearts of those fortunate enough to listen. She was recognized not just for her vocal talents, but for her love of cheetah prints of all kinds. She was also gifted with the ability to weave her creative spirit into the pages of her notebooks, capturing moments and memories that would last a lifetime.
Emily had a deep affection for babies, whom she fondly referred to as her "monkeys." She relished every moment spent nurturing and loving her nieces and nephews: Cole, Scott, Utah, Wesley, Jenna, Ellie, and Samantha. Her heart was full, and her pride in her family was evident in the way she celebrated their achievements.
Though she is mourned dearly by her sisters, Rachel (Blake) Bell, Hannah (Brian) Tyrey, and Sophie (Kyle) Kamer, and her treasured nephews and nieces, Emily's legacy will continue to shine through the love and laughter she shared. She will be greeted with big hugs when she joins her parents in heaven, Scott and Melody Tyrey.
In her passing, we remember Emily not only for the joy she brought into our lives but also for her incredible talent and the beautiful mark she left on our hearts. She was indeed the talented one, a light that will forever inspire those who knew her. Emily Alison Tyrey may no longer be with us in body, but her spirit and vibrancy will always resonate in our memories.
The lives of everyone who was fortunate enough to know her, were full of laughter, joy, and a special kind of magic with Emily in this world.
Emily's life will be celebrated on March 6, 2026 at Be Our Guests in High Ridge, MO from 3-8 pm. In true Emily fashion, we invite everyone to wear cheetah or leopard print in her honor — the bolder, brighter, and more mismatched, the better. Memorial contributions may be made in Emily's honor to the Down Syndrome Association.
