Emily Nuss Walters

Emily Nuss Walters went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the age of 91 years. She was the daughter of the late W LeRoy and Emily Berge Nuss and grew up in North Wales. She was married to Robert Walters in 1950 and together the enjoyed over 70 years of loving marriage. Having grown up in town and as an only child, she quickly had to adjust to life on a dairy farm and a large family, as 5 children were born in the span of 6 years. She gained a sister only after her first child was born. After her husband Bob was called to the ministry, she faithfully served the church as a pastor's wife for 36 years at Steel City, Line Lexington and Whitehall Mennonite Churches. This often included preparing meals for last minute guests. Emily was a great cook and the whole family looked forward to going to Nannys for family dinners that she cooked for birthdays and holidays, especially the spread she prepared for New Years Eve. She also served as cook and first mate as she and her husband chartered and sailed. Emily had a love for flowers and enjoyed making flower arrangements.

SURVIVORS: In addition to her devoted husband Robert, she will be remembered by a sister Pam Difabrizio; three daughters Dawn (husband Ken, deceased) Wilt, Susie and husband Dave Kempf and Becky and husband Guy Lesser; two sons Mark and wife Nancy Walters and Tim and wife Lisa Walters; 13 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her whole family and all the people whose lives she has touched over the years.

SERVICES: A Funeral Service will be held at 10 A.M. on Wednesday June 30, 2021 at Steel City Mennonite Church, 2137 Mixsell Avenue Bethlehem, PA 18015. Calling hours will be held TODAY Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
