To endure a lifetime of missing you for the privilege of loving you. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Emily Whitlock-Soumah, a beloved mother, cherished friend, and a woman of remarkable beauty, both inside and out.
Emily was born on August 24, 1988, and from a young age, she radiated a warmth and generosity that touched everyone she met. Her vibrant spirit and compassionate heart made her a guiding light to those fortunate enough to know her. Emily's beauty was not only in her graceful presence but also in her unwavering love and support for her family and friends. Emily had a love for music, partying, glamming herself up, and just enjoying herself to the fullest especially with her children and friends.
As a mother, Emily was a beacon of love and devotion. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her children, providing them with a nurturing and joyful home. Her strength and tenderness shaped their lives in profound ways, and her legacy will live on in their hearts. Emily attended Central High School in Newark, New Jersey before she gave birth to her eldest daughter, Sa-Jadah Whitlock. After a while, Emily went on to grow her family and married her husband, Almamy (Fidel) Soumah, where they raised four beautiful children together. Emily worked as a delivery driver for FedEx Grounds and later had dreams to become a correctional officer.
God called Emily Whitlock-Soumah on August 7, 2024. She is now untied with her late father, Edward Williams.
Emily Whitlock leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Whilemina Whitlock; her husband, Almamy (Fidel) Soumah; daughters, Sa-Jadah Whitlock and Sa-Mayah Whitlock-Soumah; her sons, Samir Whitlock-Soumah and Sakai whitlock- Soumah; a brother, Shawn Whitlock; a sister, Clarissa Whitlock; and a host of other family and friends.
