Emilyn Nañez, 45 of Gonzales, passed from this life to eternal rest in heaven on Thursday, April 17, 2025. She was born May 3, 1979 in Tacurong, Sultan Kudarat, Philippines. Emilyn married Arnulfo V "Jojo" on July 25, 2006 in Davao City. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Emilyn received her bachelor's of science degree in medical technology from San Pedro College in Davao City. She worked for Gonzales Healthcare Systems for nearly five years before suffering from a stroke.
Emilyn was a loving mother and wife. She loved life and cherished time with her family. She was a delightful story teller, and shared many stories with her children. As a devout Christian, she led her family in her faith in Jesus Christ. Her children will always remember her beautiful smile, sparkling eyes, loving embrace and gentle kisses. "Mommy" as her daughters affectionately called her, fought hard to return to good health, to live abundantly with her family that she so deeply loved. As always tried to put the needs of her husband and family before her own. She passionately loved her husband and desperately tried to live to share in watching their beautiful daughters grow into their own with the loving light of Jesus Christ protecting them along the way. Emilyn was many things to her family, but a source of bountiful love was her greatest gift.
Emilyn is survived by her husband, Arnulfo V. "Jojo" Nañez, Jr, daughters, Almira and Arwen Nañez, mother, Merlyn Viernes, sisters, Irish, Mikmik, Kimkim and Toto and her kitty, Gracie. She was preceded in death by her father.
A memorial service will be celebrated at 10 am Friday, May 2, 2025 in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Josh Breslaw officiating. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church. Friends may leave their condolences to the family by visiting www.seydlerhillfuneralhome.com.
