It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Emma Faye Evans on July 5, 2024, in Daingerfield, Texas.
Emma Faye was born to Dan and Clara Evans on March 16, 1948, in Daingerfield, Texas. She led a fulfilling life, enjoying her retirement by preparing delicious home-cooked meals, watching her favorite TV shows, and spending cherished moments with her faithful dog, Cujo.
Emma Faye is survived by her son, Willie Evans (Josie), of Ore City, and her sisters: Joann Evans of Hughes Springs, Rosie Gasaway of Daingerfield, Gloria Smith of Lone Star, Jane Evans of Daingerfield, and Martha Standmire of McKinney. Additionally, she leaves behind three grandchildren: Willie Evans, Jr. (Kenya), Abreighya Evans, and Keita Evans, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Dan and Clara Evans, brother, D.E. Evans, Sr., and her sister Emma Jean Evans.
Funeral services for Ms. Emma Evans, age 76, of Daingerfield, Texas, will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Shady Grove Christian Church. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Ms. Evans will lie in state from 12:00 noon until 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
