Emma Flournoy

Funeral services for Emma Flournoy, 24, of Adelphi, Ohio, will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton, Iowa, with Pastor Dennis St. Lawrence officiating. Prior to the service, a visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Emma's final resting place will be in Chariton, Iowa, near her family.

She was born on January 11th, 2001, in Lufkin, Texas to Joshua and Julie Flournoy, formerly residents of Laurelville, Ohio and current residents of Chariton, Iowa.
Emma had a passion for many things: classical music, playing the piano and violin, reading, period dramas, history, grammar, nature (especially trees and viny things), and spending quality time with all her family members. Her greatest passion was her love for Jesus Christ and letting her life bring honor to Him.
Emma passed away July 15th, 2025, after a sudden and unexpected illness.
Emma is survived by her parents, her sisters Elizabeth Cochran, Kate Lamb, Caroline, Jane, Samantha, Abigail, and Amelia; her brothers William, Douglas, Morgan, Christopher, and Michael; her brothers-in-law Matthew Cochran and Daeus Lamb; her nieces Grace, Esther, and Willow, and her nephew Elijah.
