Emmaree Harvell Freeman, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at her home in Fort Mill, South Carolina, surrounded by her loving family.
Born and raised in Fort Mill, Emmaree dedicated over 25 years of her life working for Springs Cotton Mills. After retiring, she pursued a new path by returning to college and graduating from Kenneth Shuler Cosmetology School. With determination and passion, she went on to open Shear Inspiration on Main Street in Fort Mill, where she shared her creativity and care with the community.
Emmaree was preceded in death by William L. Freeman, husband; Paul Edgar Harvell, father; mother, Beadie Elliott Harvell; son, Barry Gene Freeman; brother, Randolph Scott Harvell; and sister, Betty Lou Hammond.
She is survived by her brother Steve Harvell, son Rex Freeman (Angie), daughter Rhonda Freeman, grandchildren, Bo Freeman (Chelsea), Taylor Freeman, Tara Freeman, and Casey Freeman, and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Holden Emma Grace, and Olivia.
In her earlier years, Emmaree was actively involved in karate and enjoyed spending time at the Leroy Springs Recreation Complex with her good friend Ronnie. She found great joy in the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them.
Emmaree’s life was marked by resilience, reinvention, and a deep love for family. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
