Emmett Dillon Obituary
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 8, 2022 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Maple Lake with Rev. Culynn Curtis officiating. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. on Sunday and 1-2 p.m. on Monday, both at the funeral chapel. The service will be livestreamed on the funeral home website.
Emmett Arnold Dillon was born July 28, 1955 in Butte, MT to Emmett and Shirley (Ostoj) Dillon. He grew up in Butte until enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corp to serve in the Vietnam War. While he was stationed in Japan, he earned his high school diploma to allow him to advance in rank. Emmett was discharged as a Sergeant in 1985 and moved back to Butte. After a short time, he moved to Minnesota and for the past nineteen years, he has lived in Maple Lake. On December 17, 2004, Emmett was united in marriage to Anita (Cramblet) Abbott. Emmett worked in building maintenance, retiring from The Bernard Group of Eden Prairie in 2021. In his younger years, he served as a Boy Scout leader and belonged to a square dancing club. He enjoyed camping, fly fishing, square dancing and woodworking.
Emmett is survived by his wife, Anita Abbott; sons, Marcus Dillon of Waterbury, CT and David Dillon (Stacy Webber) of Baxter; daughter, Jodie Clemens of Maple Lake; seven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; dad, Ernest Brisbin; sister and brothers, Cheri (Bob) King, Mike (Monica) Brisbin, and James "Cole" (Sherri) Brisbin; brother-in-law, Doug Fellows; and sister-in-law, Colleen Brisbin. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Brisbin; father, Emmett Dillon; sister, Ardis Fellows; and brother Tim Brisbin.

I am sorry for your loss. May he RIP. I will remember Emmett as a no nonsense kind of guy. I didn't know him that well, but he did take me and my Sammi (kitty) in (albeit reluctantly) when we came back from Pennsylvania to be with Hun. I will always be greatful.
