Emmett Redding Obituary
Emmett A. Redding "Otis" 1947 - 2025 of Fort Walton Beach, FL passed away on Dec. 23, 2025.
Otis was born to Jean Redding in Newport, Rhode Island.
He is survived by his son (James Redding) and daughter (Marrianne Shelton).
Otis served the U.S. Air Force for over 20 years, retiring from Hurlburt Field from the 16th Special Operations Squadron (SOS) on February 22. 1990 and earning the Test Contractor of the year award with Booz Allen in 1999. In his spare time, he spent it with the Masonic Lodge 380 and was Worshipful Master in 2013. He also spent his time with FWB Amaranth and York Rite.
A celebration of life is being organized on Saturday, January 24, 2026. A location and time will be announced at a later date.
He will be remembered by Special Operations Command, Masonic, Amaranth, and York Rite as a caring person who wanted everyone to grow, learn, and enjoy his rum balls.
