Eneida Maria Castaneda

Mrs. Eneida Maria Castañeda (Herrera), 55, of Sharpsburg, Georgia passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on September 23, 1968, in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Eneida was raised by her late parents: mother, Eneida Rodriguez (Alvarez), and stepfather, Jose Rodriguez.
Eneida grew up in Elizabeth, New Jersey and was a 1986 graduate of Elizabeth High School. After graduating high school, Eneida had the opportunity to call several states and countries home, including Guatemala, Florida, and Georgia (in addition to New Jersey). For the last 25 years, Eneida had the pleasure of calling Georgia home. In recent years, Eneida became a member of the Latin American Motorcycle Association (L.A.M.A.), Atlanta South chapter (proud Dama de L.A.M.A.!). When she wasn't off exploring new places or seeking her next adventure, she could always be found cheering loudly from the stands rooting on her kids, grandkids, friends or the Atlanta Braves.
The visitation and service will occur on Friday, June 7, 2024, at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, Newnan, GA 30263. Visitation is from 1:00pm to 3:00pm ET, and the service will take place immediately after, starting at 3:00pm ET.

Survivors include husband, Maynor Castañeda of Sharpsburg, GA; daughters Stephany Kimble of Columbus, GA, Jacqueline Castañeda of New Orleans, LA; sister, Beatriz O'Neill & husband John of Conway, SC, grandchildren, Zachary and Riley, as well as a host of loving relatives and friends.
