Erasmo G. Perez

Erasmo G. Perez, 64, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on September 20, 2025, in Kingsville. He was born on October 23, 1960, in Kingsville, Texas, to Sabas H. and Josefa G. Perez. Erasmo was a very kind-hearted man of many talents and passions. His interests varied from gardening to welding. He loved playing the guitar, cooking and lending a hand when possible. He had a lifelong fascination with astronomy. He enjoyed reading astronomy magazines and once built a large telescope which he used to explore the night sky with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sabas H. and Josefa G. Perez, and one brother, Amadeo G. Perez. Survivors include five sisters: Hilda P. Higginbotham of Kingsville, Sylvia P. Trevino of Kingsville, Dahlia (Oscar) Garza of Kingsville, Elvira P. Garza of Anaheim, California, and Lucia Rita Perez of Hutto; three brothers: Javier (Graciela) Perez of Ricardo, Sabas (Sandy) Perez Jr. of Kingsville, and Sebastian (Carrie) Perez of New Caney; sister-in-law, Esperanza "Hope" Perez of Kingsville; two aunts, Maria Gonzalez and Yolanda Gonzalez; one uncle, Antonio Gonzalez; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home. The family will receive condolences from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will follow on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church with Father Alfredo Villarreal officiating. Burial will be at Kingsville Resthaven Cemetery. Erasmo will be remembered for his music, love of nature, and the time he spent with family. His memory will live on in the stories and moments that touched the lives of all who knew him.
