Eric "Josh" Beauregard, an on and off resident of St. Albans, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 26, 2025, with his domestic partner, Elizabeth "Libby" Manahan at his side.

Most recently he and Libby have been living in Charleston, South Carolina and enjoying RV life, visiting over 20 states in the last five years.

Born in St. Albans on December 10, 1963, he was the son of the late Stanley and Jacquelyn (Fortin) Beauregard. Eric was 61 years old.

Eric graduated from Bellows Free Academy and went on to Champlain College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts. He wrote and self-published a novel, "Playing Hannah" and was working on a second book. Inspired by his service with the 82nd Airborne, he went on to pursue skydiving as a private citizen, with over 100 lifetime skydives. He had a passion for bicycle riding and averaged 5000 miles per year. He also loved nature and hiking and earned bragging rights of having hiked the entire Long Trail, as well as over 450 miles of the Appalachian Trail. He was a "Friend of Bill's" for over 17 years.

Eric loved to read and even read War & Peace… twice. His favorite book was Moby Dick. He was a huge fan of Canadian music, especially Tragically Hip and Gordon Lightfoot. He loved animals, particularly Bonesey and Mr. Mittens. For many years Eric was a fixture at Bob's Meat Market as a meat cutter.

Eric is survived by his domestic partner, Elizabeth "Libby" Manahan, his brother Bob Beauregard of California, and sisters, Lisa Richard and her husband, Rick, of Clinton, Connecticut and Karen Trahan of St. Albans, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Eric was predeceased by two brothers, Mark and Stanley Jr.

Visitation for Eric's family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 12 noon to 3:00PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St, St. Albans.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Turning Point – Franklin County, P.O. Box 1187, St. Albans, Vermont 05478 or Franklin County Animal Rescue, 30 Sunset Meadow, St. Albans, Vermont 05478.
