Eric Douglas Booth, 80, passed away October 10, 2024. He was born April 11, 1944 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
Eric was married to Marcia on November 12, 1966 and had two sons, Kenneth and Todd.
He graduated from Eastern Michigan University in January 1967 and became a certified CPA in April 1970. He began his career at what became Price Waterhouse Coopers. Later, he worked for several mortgage companies and eventually spent 10 years as CFO of Michigan National Bank. After retirement, he got involved in charity wok and was Vice Chairman of the Metro YMCA Board and Oakland Family Services.
Eric and Marcia did extensive traveling. Some of their favorite trips were Around the World with the Nomad Travel Club, 7 weeks in Australia and 5 weeks in New Zealand and Fiji. His favorite hobbies were fishing, boating, shooting sports clays and playing Bridge in several card groups.
Family was very important to Eric and one of his hobbies was genealogy. He comprised detailed ancestry books for each of his immediate family members so they can pass it on to their families.
Eric is survived by his wife, Marcia; sons, Kenneth and Todd (Olga); daughter-in-law, Julie; grandchildren, Kyle, Kaitlin, Angelika, and Nicole; brother-in-law, Ed (Ann) Prokopp; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Marty) Meininger and Terry (Bruce) Segal; nephews, Jason and Daniel; nieces, Jessica, Jill and Elizabeth.
Eric is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Davies.
There will be a private family service.
