Eric Bernard Forbes, Jr. was born on July 9, 1982 to Diane Brannon and Eric Bernard Forbes, Sr. in Ver Beach, FL. Eric was known to his family and friends as "Toto." He matriculated through the public schools of Indian River County ultimately attending Vero Beach High School. Toto was a person who loved his family. He had a passion for astrology, study of history, learning of his culture, reading, bowling, basketball, and spending time with his children. To support himself and family, he worked with his father as a construction worker. He was a person that was always there for anyone that needed him with a smile on his face and never complained. One of his favorite quotes was, "Learn something new everyday."
On July 1, 2022 Eric Bernard Forbes, Jr. peacefully departed this life. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Cora Lee Scott and Emma Forbes.
Left to cherish his precious memories are his parents, Diane Brannon and Eric B. Forbes, Sr. both of Vero Beach, FL; children, Trent Pavela, Kalyssa Tetaz, and Jordan Forbes all of Vero Beach, FL, Nathan Forbes of Baltimore, MD; brother, Deon Williams of Vero Beach, FL; aunts, Rosemary Brannon of Vero Beach, FL and Bernadine Rice of Macon, GA; uncles, Alonzo Allen of California and Thaddeaus Forbes of Vero Beach, FL; niece, Jaleah Sanders of Vero Beach, FL; nephew, Deon Williams, Jr. of Vero Beach, FL; and a host of other relatives, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
Public visitation for Eric Bernard Forbes, Jr. will take place on Saturday, July 15, 2022 from 10:00am-11:00am at Mount Zion AME Church in Gifford, FL which will be followed by his funeral service beginning at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow in Gifford Cemetery.
Although many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID-19 have been relaxed, we at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff. We ask that you respect this, as it could very well save your life. We also ask that you acknowledge and execute the 6 feet social distancing guidelines as well.
